About the event

The world-renowned Gardens and Arboretum has one of the largest collections of hardy trees and shrubs in the world, more than a dozen specialist garden landscapes, and also the UK’s largest collection of Champion Trees. Covering 180 acres, it’s home to many rare plants and participates in a number of conservation projects, and also holds an amazing 14 national plant collections including Quercus, Cornus, Pinus, Cercidiphyllum - so this is definitely one to join if you’re a plant fanatic, or if you just want to come along and meet up with some other YPS members!

We’re starting first thing at 10am sharp, then after our tour and workshop with Fran and Barry, there’ll be a short stop for lunch at 1pm (bring your own, or there is a coffee shop on-site). Then if there’s time, we may get access to another extra special tour locally (tbc shortly). With this in mind, our end time may vary but you are welcome to attend for the morning part only.

Our mission is to aid the dissemination of propagation knowledge through the generations; to encourage more young horticulturalists into propagation and nursery roles; and to inspire learning of all areas of the natural world. We want everyone to be able to access these events and as such, tickets to this event (including access to the gardens!) are free, but donations are always welcome to help support our work.

Places for this event are limited so do be quick!
